Eula Salmon Obituary
Eula Mae Salmon, age 83, of Rome passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her residence .
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Salmon was born May 10, 1931 daughter of the late Jerry C. Winkles and Bessie Mae Sanders Winkles. She had been a resident of Rome most of her life but lived in Texas for several years. and worked for the Victory Café downtown and DiPrima's Steak House . She enjoyed watching Braves baseball and game shows on television, reading, and crossword puzzles. She loved her family and was preceded in death by her sisters and a brother Ruby, Frances, Thelma, Mary, Tommy, Carolyn and Barbara.
Survivors include her children Tim (Alison) Land and Frankie Land and Teresa (Ronnie) Branton, all of Rome: a sister Mildred Wagner of Minnesota, ten grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren with a third on the way.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 :00 P.M. Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Reverend Bobby Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 until 3 P.M. and following the funeral will be at the residence of a grandson, Scott and Redonna Branton, 935 Haywood Valley in Armuchee. Please visit our website www.goodshepherdfh.net to view the tribute and post messages.
