In Loving Memory of Bishop Freddy Baldwin
December 23, 1945 – June 28, 2026
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Bishop Freddy Baldwin, a devoted servant of God, loving husband, cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a faithful friend to many. Bishop Baldwin entered his eternal rest on June 28, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born in Rome, Georgia, Bishop Baldwin’s life was a testament to dedication and service. His commitment to others began with his time as a veteran of the Armed Forces and continued throughout his life through his calling to ministry. He faithfully served as Bishop Emeritus of Community Worship International in Conyers, Georgia, and was a co-founder of Grace Village in Perry, Georgia. His passion for reaching and uplifting others led him to establish First United Pentecostal Church of Kingsland, Georgia, where he poured his heart into guiding, encouraging, and loving countless lives.
Those who knew Bishop Baldwin knew him not only as a man of great faith, but as a man with a warm heart, a generous spirit, and a genuine love for people. He was always willing to go above and beyond to help others, often placing the needs of those around him before his own. His kindness, wisdom, and compassion left an imprint on everyone blessed to know him.
Outside of his ministry, Bishop Baldwin found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed collecting watches and collecting pens, sharing meals with those he loved, and had a special appreciation for salsa, Mexican cuisine, and Chinese food. But above all, his greatest joy was his relationship with God and the love he carried for his family. His family was his heart, and he treasured them “above all else.”
Bishop Baldwin now joins his beloved wife, Cynthia Yvonne Baldwin; his parents, Robert and Thelma Baldwin; his brothers, Edward and Bobby Baldwin; his sister, Charlene; his son, Richard Baldwin; and his daughter, Teresa Baldwin, in eternal peace.
He leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory: his son, Bishop Anthony Baldwin (Tina); his daughter, Kristy Davis (Randy); his grandchildren, Ryan Baldwin, Michael Baldwin (Vitoria), Brinson Mobley (Brittany), Gavin Baldwin (Sky), Katelynn Mobley, Addilyne Davis, Rayne Davis, Rhonda Leathers (Bobby), Nick Edwards (Summer), and Joseph; his sister, Martha Baldwin; his great-grandson, Samuel Baldwin; and many extended family members, friends, and spiritual sons and daughters whose lives were forever changed by his love and guidance.
A service celebrating Bishop Baldwin’s life, faith, and legacy will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at New Beginnings Apostolic Church located at 3611 Rome Hwy, Aragon, GA 30104. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with the service following at 2:00 PM. The service will be officiated by Bishop Vernon Wagoner, Bishop Anthony Baldwin, Pastor Alan Lewis, Pastor Peyton Bostwick, and Minister Eddie Baldwin. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Canton National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Baldwin, Michael Baldwin, Brinson Mobley, Gavin Baldwin, Nick Edwards, Joseph Langley, Bobby Leathers, and Duane Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Community Worship International through PayPal or Venmo at @bigdaddytb.
Bishop Freddy Baldwin’s earthly journey may have come to an end, but his faith, love, and the countless lives he touched will continue to live on. His legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
