Glenda Blalock Obituary

Glenda T. Blalock, 75, of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at Floyd Medical Center, just one day shy of her 76th birthday. Born in Warrington, Lancashire, England, on October 5, 1949, Glenda brought warmth, strength, and compassion into the lives of all who knew her.

Glenda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and partner. She is survived by her son, Stephen Blalock, and his wife Heather; her daughter, Jaime Blalock; and her beloved grandsons, Casey, Ryan, and Kyle. She shared a special bond with her partner and caregiver, Ivan Everett, whose love and support were a constant in her life.

She was preceded in death by her brother Steven Todlowski, her father Bobby Rumfelt, and her mother Ivy Halladay. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Angie Caldwell, Julie Blalock, and Sylvia Todlowski.

Glenda spent her career working at Trend Mills, Bekaert Corporation, and Southeastern Mills, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. But her true legacy lies in the kindness she extended to others. Glenda had a heart for helping-always ready to offer comfort, guidance, or a listening ear. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with them and reminiscing about the good old days.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially shopping and hunting for the best deals.

Her strength, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched many, and her absence will be deeply felt.

In honor of Glenda's compassionate nature, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date to remember and honor the beautiful soul that was Glenda Blalock.

She will be missed, but never forgotten.
