Helen Moore Obituary

Helen Lucille Moore, lovingly known to almost everyone simply as “Granny,” passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 14, 1954, Helen lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She had a feisty spirit that kept everyone on their toes, but beneath that spark was a heart overflowing with kindness and compassion. If you knew Helen, you knew she never met a stranger. She welcomed people with open arms and loved deeply and unconditionally.

To her family and friends, she was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she was the heart of every gathering. Her greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was affectionately called “Granny” not only by her family but by countless others whose lives she touched.

One of Helen’s greatest companions was her beloved little dog, Tiny who truly held a special place in her heart. The bond they shared brought her endless comfort, happiness, and companionship.

Helen leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever: her children, Dennis Lee Tucker, Rebecca Williams, Glenda Thompson, and Latasha Tucker (“Tiny”) her grandchildren, Savannah, Kaden, Lee Lee, Timothy, Marie, Sabrina, Randy, Landen, Mandy, Robert, Josh and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Hazeleynn, Nevaehlyn, Skylar, Aiden, Cohen, Irman, Cayden, Abby, Eli, Echo, Braylon, Annalee, Kyleigh, and Christopher; and her sisters, Ruby Lynn and Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.T. Moore and Margrett Elizabeth Moore; her brother, Roy Moore; and her sisters, Christine, Betsy, Shirley, Darlene, and Rebecca.

Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind the laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the strength she carried throughout her life. Helen’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the family she loved so dearly.
