Iris Carol Clark, age 77, of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025.
Born in Huntsville, Alabama, on February 23, 1948, to the late Earl Eugene Clark and Lillie Mae Clark, Iris lived a life full of love, compassion, and creativity. She had a natural gift for decorating and a love for shopping, but above all, she had a heart for helping others. Throughout her life, she worked as both a hairstylist and a phlebotomist, sharing her talents and caring spirit with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lillie Clark; her brother, James Clark; and her son, Farrell Swanson Jr.
Iris is survived by her devoted daughter, Anita Swanson-Reynolds, who lovingly cared for her in her later years; her granddaughter, Tabitha Swanson; her grandsons, Tim Barton Jr. and Brandon Ballard; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
A celebration of Iris’s life will be held on September 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Rome, Georgia.
Iris will always be remembered for her generous heart, the love she gave so freely, and the sparkle of sass that made her truly unforgettable.
