Jacob Norman Trapp

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jacob Norman Trapp, 47, on Friday, January 2, 2026. Jacob was born on January 30, 1978. He is survived by his mother, Judy Trapp, and brother, Joshua Trapp. Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Harold Norman Trapp, less than 11 months ago. He is also survived by his stepsons, Cody and Nick Sprayberry, and granddaughters, Josie and Sadie Sprayberry. He is also survived by his devoted friends, Bob and Tina Roe, all whom he adored.

Jacob loved fishing, planting his gardens, the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and Buffalo Bills. Some of his favorite times were taking his mother to Nascar races. Jacob always had a passion for rescuing animals. In particular, his 3 legged cat. He had a vast interest and knowledge of different genres of music. You could watch him feel it as he soaked it in. He enjoyed collecting vinyl albums and baseball cards. He was an All Star baseball player and pitched for Rome High School.  Jacob never hesitated to stand up for his family and friends. He was quick witted and had the ability to make you laugh hysterically at any time.

Jacob will be remembered for his generous spirit and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

To honor Jacob's life, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel.
