James Shaw, 71, of Lindale, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Born on November 29, 1953, in Cedartown, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Margaret V. Corley Shaw and the late Jay Junior Shaw.

James leaves behind a devoted family who will forever cherish his memory. His son Michael Shaw, his mother, Margaret V. Corley Shaw, and his siblings, Bobby Shaw, Randy Shaw, and Mary Satterfield, were not just his family, but his heart and soul. They mourn his passing deeply, their love for him unending.

A resident of Lindale, James was more than just a neighbor. He was a part of the community, a familiar face in the charming downtown of Rome, Georgia. He loved to stroll through the city, engage with familiar faces, and share a word or two over a quick bite or drink at the many local shops. His presence in the community was constant, and his warmth touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark.

James was an adventurer at heart, with a love for exploring the roads of Rome and its surrounding areas. He enjoyed discovering new routes and meeting new people, making every journey an adventure. His passion for the great outdoors was evident in his love for fishing. Whether alone or with loved ones, he cherished the peace and relaxation that came with each cast of the line, finding solace in nature’s embrace.

James lived life fully and loved his family dearly. All who knew him will greatly miss his kind spirit and adventurous soul.
