Janey Shari Phillips, 42, Aragon, Georgia, died on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1981 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Dennis Phillips, Sr. and Glenda Smothers Phillips.
Janey is preceded in death by her father and brother Dennis Phillips, Sr., and Dennis Phillips Jr. She leaves behind her husband Josh franks whom she is separated from, as well as her long life companion Chad Tillery of 6 years. She is also survived by the following people: her stepsons, Jake Franks, Christopher Tillery, and David Crowe; her nephews Christopher Phillips, Collin Phillips and Elijah Phillips, whom she helped raise. Janey also leaves behind her daughters, Madison Phillips, MacKenzie Willis, Missa Phillips; her two God-daughters, Taylor Duvall and Savannah Storey; her stepdaughters, Hanna Tillery and Anna Tillery; her niece, Gracie Phillips, whom she helped raise; her grandchildren, Isaiah Storey, who is known as Zay Zay, Kehlani Storey, who is known as Bitty Butt, Kylie Pryor, Londyn Porch, Alayah Porch, Trinity Hudgens, Nevaeh Atkins, Unique Atkins, Kye Atkins, Nicholai Atkins, Jaden Ely, James Turner; her mother Glenda Smothers Phillips; her God-mother, Jennifer Penny; her brother, Christopher Phillips; her God-brother, Christopher Atkins, also known as "Bubba"; and her God-sisters, Samantha and Amanda Atkins.
Janey Shari Phillips was a Christian lady. She loved being with her kids and grandkids. They were her world. She loved nature and animals. She enjoyed outdoor activities and crafts. Janey adored music. Her legacy was her big heart. She treated everyone with love and kindness. She always opened arms to everyone and treated everyone equally and she always was a giver. She was a great mother to her kids, a wonderful wife, a loyal friend and a mother and grandmother to many.
On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM family is holding a visitation to celebrate Janey's life. The visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel located at 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30153. Franklin Towe will officiate.
