Jean Stanley Aldridge

Jean Stanley Aldridge of Rome, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born in Ellijay, Georgia to the late Cecil and Eunice Stanley on May 19, 1935. 

Jean attended grade school in Ellijay and graduated from Ellijay High School. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work where she met her husband T.J. who was attending Georgia Tech. They were married in Atlanta and had two children. They later moved to Lexington, Kentucky, and on to Kalamazoo, Michigan before returning to Atlanta and eventually moving to Rome eight-teen years ago. T.J. and Jean had recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary while Jean’s 88th birthday was coming up in two weeks. 

Jean is survived by her husband T.J. Aldridge and her son Keith Aldridge. Along with her parents, Jean is also preceded in death by her daughter Rita Aldridge Lapekas and her brothers William Stanley and Raymond Stanley.

A graveside service will be held at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM.
