In Loving Memory of
Paula Jean Haley Rogers
November 20, 1948 – 2026

Paula Jean Haley Rogers of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully at the local hospital, surrounded by the loving presence of her family. She was seventy seven years old. Paula was born in Floyd County on November 20, 1948, to the late Paul and Betty Haley.

Those who knew Jean knew a woman whose heart had room for everyone. She was the steady center of her home, a caretaker by nature and by calling. Whether tending to her family, her animals, or the flowers that brightened her yard, Jean found joy in nurturing life and bringing comfort to those around her. She was known among her family and friends as a faithful prayer warrior, a woman whose quiet strength and unwavering faith lifted many through difficult days.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Ricky Rogers; her sons, Chad Rogers (Nancy) and Brett Rogers (Melinda); her cherished grandchildren, Leah Rogers and Trey Paul; her beautiful great grandaughter Katie Williams; her niece, Tonya Haley; and her nephew, Luke H.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughters, Haley and Holly Rogers. She was also predeceased by her parents, Paul and Betty Haley, and her brother, Dwight Haley (Pam).

Jean was a proud graduate of Coosa High School, class of 1966. The following year, on August 4, 1967, she married the love of her life, Ricky Rogers. Their marriage was one of steadfast devotion, a partnership that weathered life’s seasons with loyalty, patience, and enduring love.

Family was the bright thread woven through every chapter of Jean’s life. She treasured time spent gathered around the table, sharing stories, laughter, and the quiet comfort that only family can give.
The services that will celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Bradley Prater and Rodney Willingham will officiate.

Escorting Jean to her final resting place at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens will be the pallbearers Chad Rogers, Brett Rogers, Trey Paul, Evan Williams, Kevin Barnes, and Danny McKerley.
