Jeanette Dugger

Jeanette Dugger, a devoted servant of her church, a compassionate nurse, and a beloved mother, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the age of 84. Her departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire generations to come.

Born on December 28, 1938, to the late Buck and Nell Duggar in Armuchee, Jeanette was raised in a close-knit community that instilled in her values of faith, compassion, and dedication. Her unwavering devotion to her church began at a young age when she found solace, purpose, and a platform to express her love for others. As the years passed, Jeanette became an integral part of her church community, eagerly serving in various roles and touching countless lives with her kindness and selflessness.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her spouses, William Floyd Scarber and Bill Riggins; her son Scotty Michael Scarber; her daughter Teresa Renee Riggins. She is survived by her son William Patrick Scarber and her daughter Debra Scarber Sartin.

In 1961, Jeanette embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. With unwavering commitment and a nurturing spirit, she dedicated herself to the well-being and care of her patients. She worked tirelessly, providing comfort and support to those in need, always going above and beyond to ensure their healing and recovery. Throughout her many years in the nursing profession, Jeanette earned the admiration and respect of her colleagues, patients, and their families, leaving an indelible mark on the hospital and the lives she touched.

A Graveside Service will be held at Floyd Memory Gardens to celebrate Jeanette's life on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at 11:00AM. All family and friends are invited.
