Jeanne Raley Obituary
Jeanne Leigh Raley, 54, of Rome passed away Friday afternoon, April21, 2017 at a local hospice facility.
A native of Rome, Jeanne was born October 3, 1962, daughter of Claude "Pete" Raley, Jr and Jean Law Raley. Jeanne was a member of the West Rome United Methodist Church and attended the Woodlawn School and Network Day Center. Jeanne worked at the Rome Floyd County Library and Jeanne's special gift and ministry was love. She never missed a chance to give anyone a smile and a hug.
Survivors include her parents, Pete and Jean Raley, of Rome; sisters and brothers in law Sharon and Reverend Terry Walton of Kennesaw and Charlene and Gary Clayton of Rome; brother and sister in law Jeff and Nita Beth Raley of Sneads FL; nephews and nieces Benji Walton, Chris Walton (Becky), Terilyn Johnson (Eric) Justin Raley (fiancé Tiffany Wilson) < Joseph Raley, Christopher Clayton, Candace Clayton (fiancé Chase Weeks), Cliff Clayton and Carrie Clayton; Great nephews and nieces Caroline, Luke, and Camryn Walton and Brooks Johnson also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday at the West Rome United Methodist Church with the Reverends Mark McLendon, Barbara Davis, and Terry Walton officiating. Reverend Les Connell will provide the music. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM in the Fellowship Hall. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Benji Walton, Chris Walton, Justin Raley, Joseph Raley, Eric Johnson, Christopher Clayton, and Chase Weeks.
