John Robert Garrison "Bobby"

John Robert Garrison “Bobby”, born on May 7, 1957, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025.​ A cherished father and grandfather, John was known for his warmth and generosity, leaving behind many cherished memories for his family. He is survived by his former wife, Gabriele Garrison, with whom he shared a beautiful relationship.

John is also lovingly remembered by his son, Bradley Robert Garrison, and his daughter, Tyler Brooke Garrison Young. His joy was further amplified by his grandson, Ryan Nash Young, who brought laughter and love into his life. Additionally, John is survived by his sister, Sylvia Garrison Rucker, who was a source of support and affection throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elizabeth Marie Garrison and Carl Ronald Garrison, as well as his brother, Michael Carey Waren, and sister, Deborah Garrison Huggins. John's legacy continues to live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was marked by love and connections that will be forever cherished.

In his professional life, John was deeply involved with the Boys Club of Rome, where he served as the physical director for many years, mentoring and influencing numerous young men who valued his guidance. Additionally, he played a significant role as the Mental Health Director at 3 Rivers for over a decade. A man of faith, he identified with the Baptist community and prioritized family above all else. His Saturdays were often dedicated to passionately supporting his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs, a ritual that brought him joy and connection.

John's life was marked by love, humor, and strong relationships. His friends and family consistently cherished his infectious smile and uplifting spirit. He was a loyal husband for 28 years and a protective father who was deeply loved in return. His childhood friends remained by his side, providing support until his final moments. John Bobby Garrison will be profoundly missed daily, but his spirit and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace.
