Joy S. Fricks

Joy S. Fricks, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023 with family at her bedside.

Miss Joy was 93 and a lifelong resident of Rome, GA. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William W. Smith, and Janice (Necy) Smith of Rome, her sister Jean Moss, her son, Meredith L. Burnes, and husband Harry E. Fricks, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Charles L. Burnes, Jr., (Barbara), David A. Burnes, and Norwood S. Burnes, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-children, several nieces and nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 14 with a visitation from 5:30PM till Service hour at 7:00PM.
