In Loving Memory of Joyce Lee May
August 2, 1947 - March 6, 2025
The gentle hand of time has drawn closed the earthly chapter of Joyce Lee May, who departed this life on March 6, 2025, at the age of seventy-seven. Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on August 2, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lee Preston and Thelma Oleta Gray. Now reunited in eternity with her cherished husband, Robert May, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those who knew her best.
Joyce’s devotion to her family was steadfast and unwavering. She was the proud mother of Stephanie Michelle LeCroy (Timmy) and the adoring grandmother of Anna Evans and Kendall Evans, in whom her spirit lives on. She is also survived by her brother, David Gray; her sister, Shirley Jervis; and dear nieces and nephews, Thomas Jervis, Denise Kugler, and Laura McSweeney, who carry forth the warmth of her love.
A woman of quiet strength and unyielding perseverance, Joyce labored diligently at Sara Lee Bakery. She was a woman of deep compassion, a steadfast protector of her loved ones, and a beacon of support in their times of need. Her heart extended kindness, and her presence brought comfort to all who crossed her path.
Life's simple pleasures brought her joy. She loved coca-cola and finding the perfect treasure on QVC. She delighted in the sparkle of fine jewelry and the unhurried pleasure of a shopping trip well spent. Her beauty was not only seen in her outward grace but in the kindness she bestowed upon the world.
As her family gathers to honor her life at a later date, they do so with hearts full of gratitude for the love she so freely gave. Good Shepherd Funeral Home is privileged to oversee these final arrangements, ensuring her farewell is one befitting the life she so gracefully lived. Though she has stepped beyond the veil, the echoes of her love and devotion shall remain, woven into the very fabric of those she leaves behind.
