Kathrina Nancie Kendig Jenkins
September 7, 1958 – December 24, 2025

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Kathy Jenkins, beloved wife, teacher and friend.

Kathy was born in Virginia but moved to Rome, Georgia at an early age. She graduated from East Rome High School and attended Shorter College. She later completed her Masters of Education, also from West Georgia College. She was an educator for over 36 years, beginning her teaching career teaching 3rd grade. She also taught at Westside, Cedar Hill and Cedartown Middle School. The students whose lives she touched will remember her always as the teacher who loved and cared about them, always going the extra mile.

Kathy will be remembered for her love of life and her love of teaching. She loved her family, her precious dog Sparkle, and her friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Bagley, and her father, Dennis Kendig.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Danny (35 years); her precious dog Sparkle; stepson Bart (Brenda); grandchildren Parker, Cooper, and Walker; sister-in-law Debbie (Rusty); and brother-in-law Phil.
