In Loving Memory of
Kenneth Kyle Babb
October 19, 1941 – February 23, 2025
On the evening of Sunday, February 23, 2025, Kenneth Kyle Babb laid aside
the burdens of this world surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of
his home.
Born on October 19, 1941, in Greeneville, Tennessee, Kenneth Kyle Babb
was the son of the late William Barney and Lucy Lane Babb. For thirty-six
years, he walked hand and hand with his beloved wife, Nancy Duncan
Babb, together, they built a home rich in love, laughter, and the echoes of
music played on strings and sung in voices warm with affection. Kenneth’s
children, Timothy Babb (Robin), Jacqueline Fincher, Michael Babb
(Diane), Tabitha Garner (Johnny), David Cothran II (Rebecca), and
Rebekah Babb, shall carry forth his legacy – along with many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers Ray Babb and
Bobby Babb (Sandra) of Greeneville, Tennessee. He is preceded by four
sisters, six brothers, and his grandson, Tyler Garner.
Kenneth was a roofing contractor for many years and established his own
business, “The Gutterman,” along with his wife for twenty years until he
retired. He enjoyed spending time and joking around with his family. He
also enjoyed watching sports (being a huge Baltimore Orioles fan). Kenneth
loved fishing, playing stringed instruments and harmonica. He was
particularly fond of listening to and playing bluegrass and gospel music. He
spent many hours enjoying the outdoors, planting and tending flowers, and
feeding and watching birds.
And so, with sorrow touched by gratitude, his family and friends shall
gather to honor his life on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Good Shepherd
Funeral Home chapel. The visitation will begin at noon until the Funeral
Service hour at 2:00 PM officiated by Reverand Robert Lawson and Pastor
Chris Hall. Interment will follow in the Wimberley Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. 200 Wimberley Hill Loop Rd., Cedartown, GA. Pallbearers are Tracy Babb, Chris Duncan, Jesse West, Lance
Babb, Jamieson Babb, and David Cothran II.
Good Shepherd funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
