Lavon Wesley Pope, age 54, of Silver Creek , passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at his residence.

Lavon was born January 14, 1961, in Floyd County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lee Pope, his mother, Opal Ingram Pope.

Survivors include his children, Chris Pope, Randall Pope, Terri (Joe) Harcourt; his father, Paul Pope; brother, Robin (Jane) Pope; sisters, Sissy Mason, Gail Allen; grandchildren, C.J. and Tyler Harcourt; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Colt Deems and Casey Waits officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
