Lloyd Lamar Ashley

Lloyd Lamar Ashley, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was born on September 06, 1949, to the late Lloyd Elton “Bud” and Myrtle Lucille Rollins Ashley.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Travis Leon Ashley.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianne Ashley, his sons Jason Lamar (Jessie) Ashley, and Jeremy Chad (Christie) Ashley, his grandchildren Evan (Gabbie) Ashley, Zoe Ashley, Mia Ashley, Brady Ashley, Zorin Moore, Damen Moore, Hayden Moore, Scarlett Melton, and Dixie Melton and his great grandchild Harper Ashley, his brother Larry Ashley, and his sister Mary Helen Davenport, his sister-in-law Resa Gann and brother-in-law Toby Hayes.

He graduated from Pepperell  High School in Lindale with the class of 1967. Though he spent many years building homes in different areas of Georgia, his most beloved occupation was the more than thirty years he spent helping to build the kingdom of heaven as the pastor of Holy Ground Church.

Pallbearers will include Terry Ashley, Kevin McDonald, Chris Ashley, Kevin Ashley, Barry Rollins, Darrel Strickland, Carlus Gann, and Evan Ashley.

Honorary pallbearers will include Tim Davenport, Ronnie Davenport, and Mark Davenport. 

The family will hold a visitation for family and friends at Good Shepherd Funeral Home on Friday, May 05, 2023 from 2:00PM till 4:00PM. Funeral Service will start at 4:00PM following Interment at Holy Ground Cemetery. Rev David Thornton will be officiating.
