Lorene Gresham Obituary

Edna  Lorene Gresham, age 95, of Rome, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026 with family by her side.

She was born July 21, 1930, in Floyd county, to Oscar & Agnes McCool. She lived in Rome the majority of her life and graduated from an All Girl’s high school in 1947. She married the love of her life, Robert Tracy Gresham on December 26, 1947. She was a homemaker by trade with several other jobs around Floyd County. She loved her family and loved the Lord. She was loved by everyone that met her, and she put a smile on everyone's face.

Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar & Agnes McCool; her sister and bother-in-law Jeanette and Howard Sharp; her husband, Robert “Bob” Gresham; her son Randy Gresham; her daughter Pamela Boyette; and her Great-granddaughter, Hannah Maisto.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patti Gresham; son-in-law, Doug Boyette; her niece, Vickie Sharp; her nephew, Tommy Sharp, five Grandchildren, Dax Maisto (Lisa), Erin Shifflette, Ian Maisto, Lance Gresham (Katie), and Elliot Boyette; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Good Shepherd Funeral home in Rome, Georgia. The family will receive guests for visitation starting at 12 p.m. prior to the service. 

Burial will follow at the Oaknoll Cemetery in Rome, Georgia.
