In Loving Memory of Mark Allen Salmon sr.
Febuary 20, 1971- April 2, 2025
Mark Allen Salmon SR, 54 of Centre, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 . Mr. Salmon was born in Rome , Georgia , on February 20, 1971 to the late Waymon Halrlan Salmon and the late Helen Ann Weatherby. His life was marked by devotion. strength, and unyielding love for his wife, kids, and grandbabies.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife Teresa Salmon of 37 years whom he married on April 29, 1988; his 3 sons, Mark Allen Salmon jr. , Michael derrick Salmon, Gregory Brent Salmon and he wife Devon, and one daughter Rebecca Jean Salmon. His 15 grandchildren, Jayden, Jordyn, Braylynn, Brooklynn, Justin, Chance, Kaiden, Able, Kyle, Anna, Leah, Luke, Chloe, Cali, and Tayden. Who will remember their pawpaw Mark with love and laughter and always filled with joy. Marks brothers Harlan Salmon and Steve Salmon. Several nieces and newphes, whom he loved dearly.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Dale, and mother in law Martha Jean Easterwood who he had a special bond with and loved her like a mother. Marks life will be one not easily forgotten. He was a man of remarkable strength and sense of humor and one of a kind personality that will leave a smile on the faces of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His devotion to his family was his main priority even in sickness. He would "troll" to the ends of the earth for them. His family's love for him was boundless, and in their eyes he was a man of both loyalty and strength. Someone who they all depended on for guidance and wisdom. His presence would fill a room with laughter and security.
In every task, Mark sought perfection. His hands felt joy in the earth; he worked the land, and tended to its needs, and helped those who called upon him with a heart full of generosity. He would labor until his last task was complete. until every corner was set right. Nothing was to great or small for him to give his best. He was a man who did not now the meaning of quitting. The love he bore for his wife, Children , and Grandchildren , surpassed all else, and in his heart, they were his truest treasures.
His legacy of love and strength shall continue to live in the hearts of those who love him most, A service of remembrance and reverence will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Good Shepard Funeral Home Chapel, where the time of gathering shall be announced in the coming days. Pastor Donald Lindsey will officiate. Brooklynn Salmon who truly understands his spirit will speak in his memory. Pallbearers: Jayden Skuse, Jordyn Salmon, Kyle Salmon, Justin pope Salmon, Josh LeCroy, Shane LeCroy and Brooklynn Salmon will accompany mark on this last sojourn to be laid to rest at Lindale Cemetery.
