Michael Alan McCurley Jr (Mike/Alan), age 56, was born on February 4, 1969 and was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 14, 2025. Thanks to his wonderful grandmother Sara who he dearly loved and who instilled Christian values in him at a young age, Mike was a man who put his faith in God and always put his family before himself. He was a firm believer, always finding lessons in day to day life. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends!
Mike earned the respect of many, working as a police officer for several years before pivoting to a new career as a Master Nissan/Infiniti Technician for almost 20 years. A person who loved to work, loved cars especially fixing hot rods, good fun, good music, cool science advancements, hosting Halloween parties with spectacular displays that drew crowds and spending time with those near and dear to his heart. His positive attitude, fun nature, and awesome ability to tell stories endeared him to many. He often had a hard time expressing his love or desire for something but you always knew he appreciated it.
Mike’s unwavering loyalty and fierce love for his family and friends was known to all. He met the love of his life, Traci, while in high school through mutual friends and in January they celebrated 36 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Traci, his children Marie McCurley (David) and Wesley McCurley, and many other relatives and friends.
Good Shepherd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A private celebration of life will be held at a later time per Mike’s wishes.
