It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Modesto Alvarado Cuevas, who entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on June 15, 1961, in Morelos, Mexico, Modesto was a man of strong faith, quiet strength, and a heart devoted to his family.

Modesto lived life with courage and passion. A skilled bull rider and avid hunter, he embraced the outdoors and never shied away from adventure. Yet those who knew him best will remember not only his fearless spirit but also his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved to travel, create lasting memories with those he loved, and treasured every moment spent with his family.

Above all, Modesto was a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man whose greatest joy came from seeing his family together. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Juan Antonio Alvarado, Steve Alvarado, and Maria Luisa Alvarado; his cherished grandchildren, Yeleni, Juan Antonio, Dharius, Leilani, Delilah, Izak, Julian, and Aaron; and his brother, Refugio Alvarado Cuevas. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ines Cuevas Rojas, whom he now joins in eternal peace.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Modesto’s love, faith, and legacy will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Monday, June 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, where loved ones will gather to celebrate Modesto’s life and honor his memory.

Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Modesto Alvarado Cuevas, quien partió a su descanso eterno el 23 de junio de 2026, a la edad de 65 años. Nacido el 15 de junio de 1961 en Morelos, México, Modesto fue un hombre de profunda fe, gran fortaleza y un corazón completamente dedicado a su familia.

Modesto vivió la vida con valentía y pasión. Fue un hábil jinete de toros y un apasionado de la cacería, disfrutando siempre del aire libre y de las aventuras. Sin embargo, quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo recordarán no solo su espíritu intrépido, sino también su bondad, generosidad y su disposición para ayudar a todo aquel que lo necesitara. Amaba viajar, crear recuerdos inolvidables junto a sus seres queridos y atesoraba cada momento compartido con su familia.

Por encima de todo, Modesto fue un padre amoroso, un abuelo orgulloso y un hombre cuya mayor alegría era ver reunida a su familia. Su amor, sus enseñanzas y su apoyo incondicional permanecerán para siempre en el corazón de quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo y amarlo.

Le sobreviven sus queridos hijos, Juan Antonio Alvarado, Steve Alvarado y María Luisa Alvarado; sus amados nietos, Yeleni, Juan Antonio, Dharius, Leilani, Delilah, Izak, Julian y Aaron; y su hermano, Refugio Alvarado Cuevas. Fue precedido en la muerte por su amada madre, Inés Cuevas Rojas, con quien ahora se reúne en la paz eterna.

Aunque nuestros corazones están llenos de tristeza por su partida, encontramos consuelo al saber que el amor, la fe y el legado de Modesto permanecerán con nosotros para siempre. Será profundamente extrañado y recordado con cariño por su familia, sus amigos y todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a rendirle homenaje durante la visita de despedida, que se llevará a cabo el lunes 29 de junio, de 12:30 p.m. a 2:30 p.m., en Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Posteriormente, a las 3:00 p.m., se celebrará un servicio junto a la tumba en Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, donde sus seres queridos se reunirán para celebrar la vida de Modesto y honrar su memoria.
