Ms. Mary Francis (Gibson) Proctor

Ms. Mary Francis Gibson-Proctor, 96, of Rome, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Graveside Service for Ms. Proctor will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 3:00 P.M., at Eastview Cemetery, 725 Kingston Avenue, NE, Rome, Georgia 30161.

Ms. Proctor was born June 17, 1927, to Herb Gibson and Nellie Mae Leach.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to James William Proctor for 67 years.  Ms. Proctor loved her family very much, often spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.  She also loved her church and church family, Dykes Creek Baptist Church.  Being very involved with her church, you could find her helping in children's church, or with the food committee.  A couple of her other pastimes were gardening and quilting.

Ms. Proctor was preceded in death by her parents, Herb Gibson and Nellie Mae Leach.  Left to cherish her loving memories are her daughter, Linda Locklear (Mike); grandchildren, Sara Locklear, Turner Locklear (Catherine), and Cole Locklear; and other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
