Patricia Jeanne (McKoy) Pence

Mrs. Patricia Jeanne Pence, born on August 15, 1934, to the late Joseph Ray McKoy, Sr and Mattie Pauline Copeland, passed away on November 20, 2022.

Patricia married the late William (Bill) F. Pence on November 18, 1956.

At an early age Patricia relocated to Floyd County and began attending the county’s schools, subsequently graduating from Model High School. She became a member of The First Baptist Church of Lindale upon giving her life to Christ and soon began serving in many different capacities. She was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union and the Triple L Club.

Patricia is survived by her sons, William F. Pence, Jr. (Carol) of Barnesville, GA, Jeffery L. Pence (Pebbles) of Acworth, GA, and Kenneth Pence (Kathy) of Lindale, GA, her brother, Joseph Ray McKoy, Jr. of Rome, GA, her sisters, Nancy Fitts of Whitesburg, GA, Jennifer Goss and Gail Howell, both of Rome, GA, her grandchildren, Kiri Pence, John Pence (Hannah), William Pence, III (Shelby), Samuel Pence, Hannah Hubbard (Jackson), Brandon Pence, Brice Pence (Bethany), and Barrett Pence (Breanna), and her great-grandchildren Braxton, Eisley, Madelyn and Liam.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline, her husband William, and her sister Jackie O’Dillon.

Pallbearers include grandsons John Pence, William Pence, III, Jack Hubbard, Samuel Pence, Brandon Pence, Brice Pence, Barrett Pence.

Honorary Escorts include granddaughters Kiri Pence and Hannah Pence Hubbard.

The family will have a visitation on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. with the memorial service to follow immediately at 12:30 p.m. Both the visitation and memorial services will be held at The First Baptist Church of Lindale. A Graveside service will be held at Floyd Memory Gardens after the memorial service.
