Patrick Richardson Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Patrick William Richardson

December 4, 1945 - February 17, 2025

Patrick William Richardson, a man of unwavering faith, boundless curiosity, and a heart both steadfast and generous, departed this world for his eternal home on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the age of 79. Born beneath the wintry skies of Detroit, Michigan, on December 4, 1945, he was the cherished son of the late Floyd William Richardson and Dolores “Tooken” Moran Richardson Cade. His life, like a well-crafted tale, unfolded in chapters rich with love, labor, and devotion, touching the hearts of all who journeyed beside him.

Pat walked the path of life hand in hand with his beloved wife, Gretchen Anne Richardson, who remained his most trusted confidante and dearest companion. His legacy lives on in his children, Patrick W. Richardson, Jr. (Leah), Kevin T. Richardson, Matthew D. Richardson (Gina), and Sarah Katherine Seefeldt (Coty), each carrying within them a spark of his wisdom, humor, and quiet resilience. He also
leaves behind his stepchildren, Colton J. Reeder (Megan), Kyle A. Reeder (Jessica) and Connor L. Reeder (Camila), whom he embraced as his own.

Pat’s love multiplied across generations, reflected in the bright and eager eyes of his grandchildren: Noah Richardson, Carson Richardson, Bailey Richardson, MacKenzie Richardson, Caroline Shaw Richardson Miller, Emma Richardson, Lauren Richardson, Beckham Richardson, Abigail Richardson, Nathan Richardson, Jack Seefeldt, Dean Seefeldt, Tripp Seefeldt and Tegan Seefeldt. His heart swelled further with the joy of his step-grandchildren, Torin Reeder, Thea Reeder, Silas Reeder, Robin Reeder, and Jonas Reeder, each one an heir to his boundless love. Pat’s brothers, Clinton Richardson (Frances)
and Thomas Richardson (Tammy), now stand as the last keepers of his childhood memories, though his beloved brother John Richardson (Ginny) has long since gone ahead, awaiting him in eternity.

A man of deep conviction, Pat dedicated his life to serving both God and his fellow man. He was a devoted member of West Rome Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia, where his faith was both an anchor and a guiding light. His devotion was not confined to the sanctuary but extended into acts of service, served in a prison ministry, upholding a fervent prayer ministry, and lending his voice in song as a former
choir member of Restoration Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. He had also once been a cherished member
of Family Life Church in Port St. Joe, Florida, where his presence was a blessing to many.

In his professional life, Pat was a man of sharp intellect and unwavering diligence. As the National Sales Manager of a prominent carpet manufacturer, he mastered the art of negotiation and persuasion, building relationships that lasted lifetimes. His expertise led him to the role of CEO of Floorensics Floor System Analysis, where he stood as an expert witness in the field, bringing both precision and integrity to his work. He applied his analytical mind to solving complex problems, always seeking truth in the details.

Yet Pat’s pursuits were not solely those of industry and commerce. He was a lover of soccer, horseback riding and history, a seeker of ancestry, and a craftsman of wood, shaping each piece with the same care he poured into the lives around him. With a keen eye for beauty, he embraced photography, capturing moments that spoke of love, laughter, and life’s quiet wonders. His hands, ever restless with purpose, found joy in roasting coffee, tending his garden, and mastering the art of the grill. Each endeavor was a reflection of his passion for creation and communion.

His spirit was one of tenacity, compassion, and wit. A natural storyteller, he wove narratives rich with humor and wisdom, leaving his listeners both enlightened and entertained. He was a man who labored not for his own gain but for the well-being of those he loved, a man whose determination shaped both his successes and his sacrifices.

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, family and friends will gather at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel to celebrate the life of this remarkable man. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jarrod Roberts and speakers Clinton Richardson and Sarah Seefeldt will be sharing words in remembrance of Pat’s life well lived.

Though the hands of time have stilled his earthly toils, Pat’s legacy endures in the laughter of his children, the prayers of his loved ones, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity and grace.
