Patti Culberson Yoder Obituary

In Loving Memory of Patti Jean Culberson Yoder
September 4, 1934 - June 15, 2026

Patti Jean Culberson Yoder, 91, of Cave Spring, Georgia, peacefully entered her eternal home on June 15, 2026. Born on September 4, 1934, in Rome, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Clifford Herbert Culberson and Minnie Eva Mathis Culberson.

Patti was the youngest of eight children, growing up in a lively and loving family with five brothers and two sisters. She treasured the close bond she shared with her family throughout her life. Her family was well known in the community, and two of her brothers proudly played Major League Baseball, a legacy that sparked Patti’s lifelong love for the game.

Patti devoted many years of her career to accounting, working faithfully at Manis Building Supply in Rome before continuing her career with AZS Chemical Corporation in Atlanta. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and quiet dedication.

More than anything, Patti found her greatest joy at home and with those she loved. She had a gift for making others feel welcome through her delicious home-cooked meals and baked treats, and she treasured every opportunity to gather with family. Whether cheering on her favorite baseball team, enjoying a game of bowling, or simply sharing laughter around the table, Patti embraced life’s simple blessings with gratitude and grace.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. As a devoted member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church, Patti found strength, comfort, and lasting friendships through her church family. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russ Yoder; her step-son, Russ Yoder, Jr.; her brothers and sisters; and two nephews.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Cam McCord (Tommy); her stepson, Bill Yoder; and her treasured grandchildren, Zach Yoder, Alex Yoder, and Craig McCord. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Culberson, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

A celebration of Patti’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Cave Spring United Methodist Church with Pastors Gary Lawrence and John Page officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Though Patti will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the many wonderful memories she leaves behind and in the assurance that her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Good Shepherd Funeral home is honored to have been entrusted with the arrangements.
