Con dolor en el corazón anunciamos el fallecimiento de Rachel Madai Vallejo Duarte, de diecisiete años de edad, quien partió de esta vida el 9 de mayo de 2025, en Atlanta , Georgia, el mismo lugar donde comenzó su radiante viaje el 24 de enero de 2008.

Rachel era la querida hija de José L. Vallejo y Amarilis Duarte, y la amada hermana de Natalie Vallejo, con quien compartió innumerables recuerdos alegres y una tierna hermandad. También le sobreviven su devota abuela, Isabel Belteton, su abuelo el pastor Julio Castillo, y un amplio y cariñoso círculo de tías, tíos, primos y queridos amigos que siempre llevarán su luz en sus corazones. La esperan en la gloria sus abuelos paternos, José y Alicia Vallejo, con los brazos extendidos para recibirla en la paz eterna.

Desde su más tierna infancia, Rachel poseía un alma dulce y creativa. Sus manos solían estar ocupadas confeccionando pulseras o dando forma a la belleza con lápiz y papel, mientras su voz elevaba melodías que agitaban el aire a su alrededor con alegría. Le encantaba cantar. Le encantaba dibujar. Le encantaba dar alegría. Miembro fiel de la Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal M. I. de Rome, Georgia, Rachel se deleitaba en el culto y el compañerismo, y su presencia era una bendición para la comunidad de la iglesia.

La risa de Rachel era una melodía en sí misma. Era pura, contagiosa e inolvidable. Su sonrisa, como un rayo de sol, permanecía en cada habitación en la que entraba. Incluso a una edad tan tierna, su espíritu dejaba una huella tan profunda como brillante.

Los servicios para celebrar la hermosa y breve estadía de Rachel en esta tierra se llevarán a cabo el sabado 17 de mayo de 2025. Comenzando con una visitación el dia vienes 16 de Mayo de 6:00PM-9:00PM y el sabado 17 de Mayo una Celebración de Vida de 1:00 PM a 1:45PM en la Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal M. I., ubicada en 12 Chieftain Drive, Rome, Georgia 30165. Despues de la Celebración saldremos en procesión para el cementerio Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, localizado en el 2549 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.

Los portadores del féretro honrarán la memoria de Rachel: Matthew Belteton, Hamilton González, Elger González, Ismael Duarte, Estuardo Ruano y Josué Calderón. El reverendo Julio Castillo oficiará el servicio. Las palabras de recuerdo serán compartidas por Amanda Killgore y Barbara Littlejohn.

Aunque la vida de Rachel no fue larga en años, el legado de su risa, su luz y el amor que dio tan libremente se extenderá mucho más allá de esta vida terrenal. Su recuerdo es una canción que no se desvanecerá.

La familia ha confiado a Good Shepherd Funeral Home el sagrado deber de sus arreglos.

It is with aching hearts that we announce the passing of Rachel Madai Vallejo Duarte, age seventeen, who departed this life on May 9, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, the very place where her radiant journey began on January 24, 2008.

Rachel was the cherished daughter of Jose L. Vallejo and Amarilis Duarte, and the beloved sister of Natalie Vallejo, with whom she shared countless joyful memories and tender sisterhood. She is also survived by her devoted grandmother, Isabel Belteton, her grandfather, Pastor Julio Castillo, and a wide and circle of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever carry her light in their hearts. Awaiting her in glory are her paternal grandparents, Jose and Alicia Vallejo, arms outstretched to receive her in eternal peace.

From her earliest days, Rachel possessed a sweet and creative soul. Her hands were often busy crafting bracelets or shaping beauty with pencil and paper, while her voice lifted melodies that stirred the air around her with joy. She loved to sing. She loved to draw. She loved to give joy. A faithful member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal M. I. in Rome, Georgia, Rachel found delight in worship and fellowship, and her presence was a blessing to the church community.

Rachel’s laughter was a melody in itself. It was pure, infectious, and unforgettable. Her smile, like a sunbeam, lingered in every room she entered. Even at such a tender age, her spirit made an impression as deep as it was bright.

Services to celebrate Rachel’s beautiful and brief stay on this earth will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Beginning with a visitation on Friday, May 16th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 17th from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM at the M.I. Pentecostal Church of God, located at 12 Chieftain Drive, Rome, Georgia 30165. Following the Celebration, we will leave in procession to Oaknoll Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 2549 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30165.

Pallbearers honoring Rachel’s memory will be Mathew Belteton, Hamilton Gonzalez, Elger Gonzalez, Ismael Duarte, Estuardo Ruano, and Josue Calderon. Reverend Julio Castillo will officiate the service. Words of remembrance will be shared by Amanda Killgore and Barbara Littlejohn.

Though Rachel’s life was not long in years, the legacy of her laughter, her light, and the love she gave so freely will stretch far beyond this earthly life. Her memory is a song that will not fade.

The family has entrusted Good Shepherd Funeral Home with the sacred duty of her arrangements.
