Randall Stone Obituary

In Loving Memory of Randall Lee Stone

January 11, 1964 – August 25, 2025

Randall Lee Stone, of Marietta, Georgia, passed from this life on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born on a winter’s day in Miami, Florida, January 11, 1964, to Jerry Lamar and Patricia Moore Stone, who cherished him from the very beginning.

Randall’s life unfolded like a melody, bright with music, laughter, and fellowship. A true son of the South, he carried with him a gift for drawing people near. He had a way of listening that made others feel heard, and of speaking that left them lighter for having lingered in his company. It was this gift that made him, by nature and by choice, a people person, and what friends fondly called a social butterfly. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, with conversation humming and joy in the air.

Randall’s love of music was a thread woven through every season of his life. He sang with a voice both heartfelt and steady, and his hands moved easily between guitar strings, piano keys, and the smooth tones of a keyboard. Country music, in particular, spoke to him. its plain truths and familiar cadences becoming a language of his own. In quiet moments, he could be found strumming a tune or sharing a song with those he loved most.

A man of culture and curiosity, Randall delighted in movies, often revisiting favorites with the same warmth one brings to an old friend. He loved animals with a tender devotion, giving a home and his heart to many through the years. Of all his companions, his beloved Roxie and Izzy, along with a pride of cats, were his most faithful confidants, and they repaid him with loyalty that only deepened his affection.

For much of his professional life, Randall shared his talents in the vibrant world of publishing. As Marketing Director for Atlanta Magazine, he cultivated relationships, created opportunities, and lent his natural charisma to a role that suited him well. His work brought him into the heart of the city’s culture, where he not only facilitated but also enjoyed countless events, always quick to lend a hand, raise a glass, or offer a word of welcome.

Randall leaves behind his devoted wife, Tamatha Rebecca Stone; his parents, Jerry Lamar and Patricia Moore Stone; his brother, Tim Stone; his brother-in-law, Keith Harris; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Harris and Leslee Stone; and his nieces and nephews, Nick Stone, Savana Beldowski, Ada Stone, Ronin Cawthon, Sarah Harris, and Kat Harris. He is also remembered with love by many aunts, uncles, and cousins whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Services to honor Randall’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel. A Memorial Gathering will take place from 2:00PM till 4:00PM.
