Randy Talmadge Carroll
April 27, 1958 – January 15, 2025
Randy Talmadge Carroll, 65, of Cedartown, Georgia, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Born on a sunlit spring morning, April 27, 1958, he was the cherished son of the late Talmadge Walter Carroll and the late Bonnie Evelyn Fuller Reed. He was a man shaped by his heritage, his family, and the land that raised him.
Randy’s life was a tapestry of devotion, humor, and unmistakable Southern charm. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Carroll, whose presence brought light and joy to his days; his son, Travis Leach (Mercedes), who carried forward his quiet strength; and his daughters, Natasha LaDale, Linisha Royer (Dustin), Rebecca Simmons (Morgan), China Dial (Raymond) and several nieces and nephews, each a testament to his boundless love and pride. His legacy is further woven through his numerous grandchildren, one radiant great-granddaughter, his brother Stevie “Grady” Carroll (Suzette), and his sister Angela Rudeseal, who all knew his laughter and warmth as constants in their lives.
Randy was a man of simple pleasures and unshakable passions. Saturdays in the fall found him fervently cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, a true son of the South whose loyalty never wavered. He reveled in the camaraderie of tailgates, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as sweet tea. Golfing with his brother Stevie was his sanctuary, a space where their bond grew deeper with each swing of the club. With Patsy by his side, Randy embraced the open road, cruising to new horizons with the woman who was his heart’s compass. And, always, he sought solace under the wide Georgia sky, where the whispers of nature mirrored the rhythm of his spirit.
Randy’s celebration of life will be officiated by Joe Redding, Frank Reed, and John Redding, each marking a chapter of the ceremony as if telling a story Randy himself might have told. Levi “X'Zavier” Bennett will lend his hands to the piano, weaving music into the air like a hymn for the soul.
Interment will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, where Randy will rest amidst the rolling hills that so mirrored the steadiness of his life. Pallbearers Chad Rudeseal, Chris Rudeseal, Mike Market, Otis Mills, Travis Leach, Raymond Dial, Isaiah Bevels and Brian Paige will carry him to his place of peace. Honorary pallbearers Devan Royer, Roy Hovers and Raylen Dial will stand as quiet sentinels, reflecting the love and respect Randy inspired. Please wear your Georgia Bulldogs favorite attire to join us in celebrating Randy's life and love for the game!
