Regan passed away on December 11, 2025, leaving behind a life distinguished by curiosity, sophistication, and an enduring appreciation for the finer pleasures of the world.
Mrs. Regan Amy Lester (Taylor) was born on February 21, 1981, in Rome, Georgia, the daughter of Mrs. Deborah Talley and Mr. Herbert Dewey Taylor III. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mrs. Dorothy Tunning and Mr. George Tunning, and her paternal grandparents, Mrs. Betty Taylor and Mr. Herbert “Lefty” Dewey Taylor Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Lester; her parents, Mr. Herbert Dewey Taylor III (Holly) and Mrs. Deborah Talley (Edwin); her sisters, Jennifer Shield (Joe) and Melissa Bowman (Robert); her niece, Isabelle Bayone; her nephews, Aiden Bayone, Keaton Shield, and Cassian Shield; and her beloved stepchildren, Hope and Grady Sonam.
Regan moved through life with effortless style and grace. From well-loved cities abroad to cherished tables closer to home, each journey reflected her discernment and genuine enjoyment of a life well lived. A natural and magnetic presence, she could make friends wherever she went. Conversation flowed easily in her company, and her friendships.
Above all, Regan was unforgettable. She lived with confidence, generosity, and a rare social brilliance that cannot be replicated. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her presence—so vivid, so beloved—will endure in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Regan’s life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Rome, Georgia.
