Rhonda Newton Obituary

“Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea – the Lord on high is mighty.”  Psalm 93:4 New International Version

Mrs. Rhonda Faye Newton, nee Savage serenely passed away on November 1, 2022. She was born to Ralph E. Savage and Emma Lucille Savage, nee Jones on July 23, 1951.

Rhonda had the most beautiful soul and was always kind to everyone. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always delighted in her children and grandchildren.

Rhonda’s love for Jesus is as eternal as his love for her, and she will be overjoyed to finally go home and meet her Lord face to face.

Rhonda’s grandchildren were indeed the apple of her eye, and she cared for them deeply.  She received immense joy in leaving candies for them and found overwhelming delight in letting them stay up late anytime they were with her.

In her absence, Rhonda would want everyone who knew and loved her to be happy and live brightly, knowing that she is home with Jesus and will see everyone again one day.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Savage. She leaves behind her husband, Melvin Kenneth Newton, her son Randy Smith (Jac’e), her daughters, Robyn Worth and Rhonda Habel, her brothers Jimmy Savage and Farris Savage, and her sisters Rita Waugh, Gaye Harries and Evelyn Reynolds.

Rhonda also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Brandi Smith, Matthew Worth, Dalton Smith, Shaelyne Smith and Joseph Walther.

Rhonda’s presence blessed the lives of all who knew her. She will forever be in our memories.

The family has chosen cremation, and memorial details will follow soon.
