Being a native Hawaiian, loving the outdoors was second nature to him, and he found solace and absolute enjoyment communing with nature. Ricky’s fishing and hunting skills were second to none, and his friends and family considered it a rare treat to be able to eat the game and fish that Ricky not only hunted, but also cooked to perfection.
Ricky was an incurable romantic, and he spent thirty-four years romancing Rita, love of his life. He will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him. Rita, will treasure every moment she had with Ricky, and she will forever cherish the little made-up poem he would say to her, “Roses are red, violets are blue, no one loves you more than I do.”
