Robert Davis Obituary

Robert Davis, age 48 and affectionately known to many as Bobby D., sought no earthly promotions yet was promoted to Heaven on Friday, February 10, 2023.

Robert was the beloved husband of wife, Heather Davis, and beloved father of daughter, Lily Davis. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Richard Davis I and Delorah Grant on June 24, 1974. Richard Davis I (Vicki Davis) preceded his son to Heaven, where they are praising the Lord together. Robert is also tenderly remembered by his mother, Delorah Grant (Steve Grant), as well as deeply missed by his brothers, Richard Davis II and Brian Davis.

After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Robert dropped everything with the heart of a servant, deemed "It's go time", and joined the United States Air Force. Bobby D. was given the role of firefighter, beginning his more than twenty years of service in the field. He has continued his career at Dobbins Fire Emergency Services for the last fifteen years.

Bobby D.'s service to others did not end there. He has truly been a giving servant; the type of person who would give the very shirt off of his back. When there has been serving work to be done, Bobby has rushed in ready to help. Through the years, he has taken in and cared for many, whether stranger or friend, all the while not crediting himself, but only the God of Heaven and Earth in him.

Robert has had a deep cherishing love for his wife, Heather, whom he often referred to as “Love”, as well as his much adored and adoring daughter, Lily, whom he often referred to as, “Little Love”. They rest in the confidence of Christ and look forward to their heavenly reunion, as all who place their faith and hope in Jesus- for Who He is and what He has done, for all. Robert D. Davis, our Bobby D., is one of a kind – intricately and wonderfully made by our Creator, his holy Father, whom he has loved and is unconditionally loved by.

As Robert would often be heard saying, “Here for the team”, may we also imitate that servant love for others as we love God.
