Rodney Lee Hightower of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of fifty-eight. He was born in Rome, Georgia, on July 12, 1967, to the late Elizabeth Freeman and William Hightower.

Rodney leaves behind his son, Chris Hightower; his sister, Tonya Wheatley; and his beloved nieces, Kara Keasler and Abbey Stott, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Rodney had a gift for making people feel welcome the moment they crossed his path. He loved to talk, laugh, and linger in good company, and he never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a joke or a friendly word. His home was a place he took pride in, and his cats were among the little companions that brought him great joy. Those who knew Rodney will remember a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and believed that laughter was meant to be shared.
