Ruby Brown Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ruby Mae Forsyth Brown

March 10, 1950 – March 31, 2025

With serene spirit and gracious heart, Ruby Mae Forsyth Brown departed this earthly realm on March 31, 2025, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength. Born on March 10, 1950, Ruby's life was a gentle melody, rich with kindness, grace, and unwavering devotion.

In her youth, Ruby courageously stepped into responsibility, nurturing her brothers Donny, Michael, Johnny, and Larry Forsyth, who cherished her deeply and counted her love among their greatest blessings. Ruby’s kindness blossomed beautifully, nurturing all who crossed her path.

Ruby's heart belonged fully to the Lord, and for many faithful years, she passionately taught Sunday School, illuminating young minds with scriptural wisdom and fostering steadfast faith within her community. Her faith was not merely professed but lived fully, a testimony of quiet dignity and abundant grace.

On December 5, 1968, Ruby joined her soul with her beloved Arnold Brown, creating a bond that thrived through decades of companionship and harmony. Together, their voices rose sweetly in song, blending in divine harmony, inspiring all who listened with the sincerity of their devotion.

Ruby's legacy flourishes in the loving lives of her devoted husband, Arnold Brown, her cherished son Arnold Ray Brown Jr., and her dear daughters Becky Duke (Adam) and Beverly Byrd. Her spirit continues to shine brightly through her grandchildren: Matthew (Jena) Duke, Leah( Kevin )Duke, Madison Duke, Andrew Duke, Frankie Douglas, Tyler( Sierra) Douglas, Abby(Skie) Lewanick, Lane Brown, and Dakota Brown.

Preceding her in eternal rest are her beloved parents, Willard and Bessie Mae Forsyth, her dear sister Mary Ann Tinsley, and precious granddaughter Holly Marenic, each awaiting joyous reunion.

Family and friends will gather to commemorate Ruby's inspiring life at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home chapel on Friday, April 4, 2025. With the Rev. Earl Partain and Carl Partain officiating and Greg Hindmon with the eulogy. Visitation will graciously commence at 12:00 PM, with the funeral ceremony following at 2:00 PM. Interment will peacefully follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, led reverently by Pastor Rob Miller.
