In Loving Memory of Sarah " Jeannie" Parker
June 7, 1945 – November 5, 2025
There was a grace in the way Sarah "Jeannie" Parker lived her life. Born on June 7, 1945, in Rome, Georgia, to David Chapman and Ruby Louise Bennett, she was the kind of woman who turned ordinary moments into memories and simple days into blessings. On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, she peacefully left this world, surrounded by the love she had spent her lifetime giving.
Sarah was devoted to her husband, Mr. Howard "Scott" Parker, with whom she shared over sixty years of marriage and was bonded to by laughter, hard work, and a deep, abiding love that carried them through every season of life. Together, they built a home that welcomed family and friends alike, a place where warmth and kindness was as constant as the scent of good cooking coming from the kitchen.
She was a homemaker in the truest and most beautiful sense of the word. Sarah’s hands were always busy creating comfort, crochetting blankets that wrapped her loved ones in care, stirring pots that fed both body and soul, while keeping her home filled with laughter and light. Her talent for crochet and her joy for cooking became her way of showing love, one handmade piece and one home cooked meal at a time.
Family was the center of her world. Sarah was the proud mother of her sons, Howard Parker, Colin Martin and Mark McGuire and her daughters, Barbara Lynn Parker, Debbie Parker, April Clifford, Shannon Martin and Lisa McGuire. Her love extended through her grandchildren, Brandon Clifford, Kendra Bishop, David Daniels and Greg Daniels. Her great-grandchildren, Sidney Brooks, Haley Brooks, Kylee Bishop, Timber Clifford. Along with one Great, Great grandchild Colin Scott Brooks. Each one was a light in her eyes and a joy in her heart. She also shared a special bond with her brother in law Charles Parker, and with many nieces and nephews who cherished her gentle spirit and wisdom.
The family will announce service details at a later day.
