In Loving Memory of Shana Elizabeth Dupree Dean
February 12, 1981 – July 8, 2024
On the evening of July 8, 2024, our beloved Shana Elizabeth Dupree Dean, aged 43, of Floyd County, Georgia, departed this world after enduring a long and courageous struggle with illness. Shana, the dearly cherished daughter of Betty Ruth Clark Dupree and Guy Mitchell Dupree, has embarked on her final journey to a place of eternal rest.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her son, Michael Scott, and her daughter, Nicole Mason (Isaac). Her spirit shines in the laughter of her step mom Sandra Dupree, her grandchildren, Evalynn Mason, Nova Mason, and Darren Mason. Her step brothers, Chris Lindsey and Alan Owens, along with her former husband, Brian Dean, bear the weight of her memory. Preceding her in death was her brother, Shane Sellers, her nephew Logan Sellers and her niece Morgan Sellers McEver who now welcomes her into the celestial realm.
Shana's life was marked by her roles as a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and friend. She worked diligently at The Dollar Tree Inc., where her warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving a void that will be deeply felt.
Crafting brought Shana immense joy and solace. Through her hands, she breathed life into her creations, each piece a testament to her boundless love. The act of selecting materials and crafting gifts for her loved ones was a profound expression of her affection, each item a cherished token of her unwavering devotion.
In the tranquil act of gardening, Shana found peace and a reflection of life's miracles. The soil beneath her fingers and the tender sprouts reaching for the sun mirrored the growth of her beloved children and grandchildren. Her heart found rhythm and solace in the steady, silent growth of her garden.
Shana's essence was as unique and beautiful as the plants she lovingly tended. Her love for her family was a garden that flourished beyond the constraints of time and space. The seeds of her care and affection will continue to grow, a living tribute to her enduring spirit.
To honor Shana’s life, a celebration will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 6:30 PM.
Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home has been entrusted with her final journey, ensuring she is laid to rest with dignity and love.
