Sheila Annette Ashley

Sheila Annette Ashley, age 71, the daughter of the late Hope Reece and Roberta Reece, transition to heaven on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Lindale, GA.

Sheila was married to Oliver Ashley, the love of her life for 53 years. She was a hard worker and retired after 23 years from Sara Lee. She was a faithful active member of New Vision Church in Silver Creek, GA. Sheila was the patriarch of her family. Her love influenced everyone that crossed her path specially, her grandchildren that light up when talking about her, and her adventurous spirit, and to prove this she went zip lining on her 70th Birthday, this was such a memorable experience for her to the point where she constantly talked about going back. She loved the outdoors and going on trips to the mountains. She really enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone with love. One of her favorite past times was going to yard sales however she never had a ticket in her 71 years of life but the only one she ever got was because she had to make a last-minute stop at a yard sale, this was part of her love of finding treasures and her young spirit. Her favorite singer was Elvis! She also enjoyed shopping! She had unconditional love for her 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, they were everything in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hope Reece and Roberta Reece, her grandchild Skyler Ashley, her brother William Reece and her sister Peggy Reece. Sheila was survived by her husband Oliver Ashley, her son Chip Ashley, her daughters Shalon Williams, Inda (Chris) Hooper and Sophia Clark. Her grandchildren Curry Jennings, Kaylee (Patrick) James, Katlon (Taylor) Nichols, Keith (Tara) Bray, Austin (Adrianna) Ashley, Sierra Fleming, Jeffery (Casey) Williams, Bailey Ashley, Samantha Guzman, Alex Guzman, Adriana Guzman, Allen Guzman, CJ Hooper, Ally Ashely, Christian Hooper, 8 great grandchildren, her brother Buddy Reece and her sister Brenda Reece and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Curry Jennings, Keith Bray, Austin Ashley, Jeffery Williams, CJ Hooper, Christian Hooper, Alex Guzman and Allen Guzman.

The family is holding a multi-day viewing for family and friends at New Vision Church located at 554 Harmony Rd. Silver Creek, GA 30173 commencing on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 6:00PM till 10:00PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 9:00AM till 10:00PM and on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 9:00AM till 12:00PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 3:00PM at Doyle Road Baptist Church located at 1197 Doyle Rd. Cedartown, GA 30125 following Interment behind New Vision Church Cemetery. Brother Kim Wolfe will be officiating.
