Shirley Jean Sisson

Shirley Jean Sisson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted member of the Church of Christ also married to Frank Sisson for 68 years, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on October 21, 1936, Shirley lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

For over 50 years, Shirley was an active and cherished member of the Church of Christ, where her unwavering faith and commitment inspired those around her. She found joy in serving others and was known for her warm smile and kind heart. Shirley took immense pride in caring for her home and family, creating a nurturing environment that welcomed all who entered.

Shirley was the daughter of  Robert Purn Jarrard and Pauline Jarrard, and she is survived by her two sons, James Winston Sisson and Jerry Ladd Sisson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Taylor Sisson, Candice Sisson,Ashley Sisson, Cassie, Cole, Channa, and Corey Sisson, who will forever cherish the memories of their grandmother's love and guidance.

Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Robert Jarrard and Cecil Berry Jarrard, who she held dear in her heart. Her family and friends will remember her not only for her unwavering faith but also for her strength, compassion, and the countless ways she touched their lives.

As we celebrate Shirley's life, we honor her commitment to her family, her faith, and her community. She will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held to honor her life and legacy, details of which will be shared with family and friends.

We will announce the burial of Shirley's remains at Alta Vista Cemetery at a later date.
