Stuart Parker Obituary

In Loving Memory of Stuart Warren Parker
August 8, 1959 – June 17, 2026

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Stuart Warren Parker, who entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2026, at the age of 66. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, faithful friend, and dedicated servant of his church, Stuart leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Stuart was the heart of his family. As a husband, he loved his wife, Elaine, with steadfast devotion, standing faithfully by her side through life's joys and challenges. As a father, he was a source of strength, wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love. His family was his greatest pride, and he worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for and care for those he loved.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, strong character, and the countless lives he touched. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being present when someone needed him, Stuart made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we are grateful for the memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared so freely. Stuart was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as the church treasurer and bass player. His seat was rarely empty, and his presence, faith, and service were a blessing to his church family for many years.

Outside of his devotion to family and church, Stuart found great joy in deer hunting and woodworking. He treasured time spent outdoors and took pride in creating things with his hands, sharing both his talents and his passions with those he loved.

Stuart is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Parker; his daughter, Sherry Parker Poe; his son and daughter-in-law, Bubba and Crystal Parker; his grandchildren, Carlee and Cameron Poe, Raleigh Parker and Landon Harris, and Emily and Taylor Harris; his brother, Kenneth Parker; his sister, Janet Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A great husband, father, grandfather, and friend may have left this world, but the love he gave and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Long officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Fortenberry, Anthony Chastain, Bobby Crider, Brian Rogers, Austin Rogers, and Greg Long.
