Sue Kidd Bradley Obituary

In Loving Memory of Sue Ellen Kidd Bradley
May 26, 1964 – January 13, 2026

Sue Ellen Kidd Bradley, of Silver Creek, Georgia, passed into eternity on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1964, in Gadsden, Alabama, to Hazel Harrell. From the start, Sue carried a spirit marked by warmth, openness, and a natural grace that welcomed the world as family.

In addition to her beloved mother, Sue is survived by her sons, Nathaniel Edwards (Erica) and Bobby Caudill; her daughters, Katrina Brasher (Gary) and Sierra Townsend (James); and a lineage of grandchildren who were among her greatest joys: Rylan Sunday, Levi Sunday, Weston Matthews, James Reynolds, JJ Kitchens, Azlyn Kitchens, Olivia Chambers, Elijah Chambers, Lizzy Gatty, and Lenia Gatty. She is also survived by her brothers, Ben Harrell (Jennifer) and Jody Harrell (Angie); her sisters, Michelle Justice (Stephen) and Janet Collins; and twelve nieces and nephews who were each held close in her generous heart. Sue was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Kidd, Bobby Kidd, and Wayne Harrell (Linda), whose memories remained woven into her life with quiet devotion.

Sue’s life was shaped by fellowship and faith. She was a faithful churchgoer who found spiritual nourishment wherever doors were open, and she carried her Baptist faith not merely in word, but in daily practice. She treasured going to church and enjoyed visiting many churches to fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved her family and friends with an ease that made no distinction between stranger and kin, for she truly never met a stranger. Each encounter was met with open arms, a listening ear, and a spirit that made others feel immediately at home.

Her home was often filled with the comforting aromas of food prepared with care, as cooking was one of the purest expressions of her love. In the sanctuary, her voice lifted in song, carrying a sincerity that stirred hearts and lingered long after the final note had faded. Those who heard her sing felt something sacred in the sound, as though joy itself had learned her voice.

Sue’s most recent work was as a cook in the deli at the Piggly Wiggly supermarket, where she served not only meals, but kindness. Customers adored her, returning as much for her conversation as for her cooking. She regarded her coworkers as family, and her affection for people extended easily into long phone conversations, where laughter, care, and concern flowed freely.

The funeral service for Sue Ellen Kidd Bradley will be held on Monday, January 19, at 2:00 PM, with visitation on Sunday, January 18, from 6:00–8:00 PM. Pastors Steve Kelley and Bill Towe will be officiating the service. Tim Turnipseed, Cody Redden, Levi Sunday, Bobby Caudill, JJ Kitchens, Randy Patterson and Johnathan Ray will serve as pallbearers, escorting Sue to her final resting place.

Sue’s sweet spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, yet her loved ones take comfort in the assurance that she now rests in the arms of her Lord, where peace is unbroken and love is made complete.
