Terry Dean Rose

Terry Dean Rose, aged 53, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Born in Fulton County on April 21, 1970, to Terry Rose and Shelia Spain, Terry's life journey was marked by hard work, a loving family, and a joyful spirit that touched many.

Predeceased by his father, Terry Rose; his mother, Shelia Spain; his daughter, Kimberly Rose; and his granddaughter, Abigail Rose, Terry knew the finite quality of life and understood the true treasure life really was. Just as he cherished and kept the memory of his dearly departed loved ones alive, the beloveds he leaves behind will hold him forever in their hearts.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Melinda “Beth” Rose; his son, Cody Nicholas Rose (Brittany); and his daughters, Tiffany Deanne Teems (Lamar) and Teri Beth Ramsey (Nick). His mother-in-law, Marie Vaughn, brothers, Ronnie Wilkerson (Jenny), Scottie Hutchens (Baley), and Mike Rose, along with sisters Toni Wilkerson and Terri Lynn Rose (Jon), will miss him dearly. Terry also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of seven grandchildren, with one more on the way, each of whom brought immense joy into his life. Also survived by his Best Friend and Sidekick of 33 years, Mr. Billy Pate.

Known as “The Legend” at Midian Roofing for his meticulous and dedicated work as a roofer, Terry was respected and admired by colleagues, friends, and family alike. His great sense of humor and love for his grandbabies were as much a part of him as his love for nature. Terry found peace and solace in fishing and camping, embracing the beauty of the great outdoors. Though not a gambler by nature, he enjoyed the occasional playful indulgence at the casino, particularly with the Slot Machine, a source of delight and amusement.

In remembering Terry Dean Rose, we celebrate a life lived with passion, a heart filled with love, and a spirit that brought light and laughter to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Terry’s life will be celebrated on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Way of the Cross Church located at 208 Darlington Dr. SW, Rome, Georgia. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Terry during the visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Good Shepherd Funeral Home is honored to handle the arrangements.

Pallbearers include Cody Rose, Alejandro “Petey” Velazquez, Nick Ramsey, Dj Nixon, Len Newberry and Phillip Hilyer. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Pate and Lamar Teems.
