Terry Robin Womack

Mr. Terry Robin Womack, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of 58. Born to Ella Mae Holmes and the late Doyle Womack on June 24, 1965, Terry was a modern-day Renaissance man blessed with many talents and a kindness that knew no bounds.

Surviving him are the cornerstones of his life: his devoted life partner, caregiver, and best friend, Anthony Edwards; his adoring mother, Ella Mae Holmes; his supportive brother, Tracy Holmes; and his loving sisters, Debra Penson, Jackie Bollen, Rachel Cochran, and Kimberly Henderson.

A man driven by an unmatched work ethic, Terry found peace and joy behind the wheel of a truck. Those who knew him could attest that the open road was his second home, and the tapestry of landscapes he traversed mirrored the colorful tapestry of his own life. But the journeys were not just physical; he treasured the simple pleasure of a good meal at the end of a long haul, whether it was Mom’s home cooking or a hidden gem of a diner along the interstate.

Terry's heart was a magnet that pulled people towards him. It wasn't just gold—it was pure, 24-karat, Georgia gold. His natural ability to turn acquaintances into friends was an extension of his innate kindness, as he never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t yet had the chance to know better.

While he referred to himself as a "jack of all trades, master of none," those who benefitted from his skills would beg to differ. A gifted mechanic and construction worker, Terry could breathe new life into machines and structures alike. Whether he was under the hood of a car or climbing the scaffolding of a building, he was a craftsman in his own right, melding skill and love into every project.

The family will announce service dates, times, and locations in due course to honor the multifaceted life Terry led. 

Though Terry has departed from this earthly plane, his legacy remains imprinted in the many lives he touched. His memory will serve as an everlasting beacon, guiding us toward compassion, hard work, and the simple joys that make life meaningful. Rest in peace, Terry. Your story will forever be a cherished chapter in the hearts of those who loved you.
