In Loving Memory of Vautice Valeria Pearson Shores
July 23, 1942 - June 13, 2024
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Vautice Valeria Pearson Shores, 81, of Rome, Georgia, who peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Born on July 23, 1942, to the late Dorsey and Alta Shores, Vautice lived a life filled with love, creativity, and compassion.
Vautice leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her sons, James Pearson, V and David (Angela) Pearson; her daughter, Lisa Pearson; her cherished grandchild, Nick Pearson and her niece, Susie Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear brother, Jerry Shores.
As a devoted mother and housewife, Vautice poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. Her caring nature and creative spirit were evident in everything she did. She had a deep appreciation for classic television shows, finding joy and comfort in watching "Gunsmoke," "Bonanza," and "Star Trek." An animal enthusiast, Vautice's home was graced by the presence of her beloved cat, who brought her much happiness.
Vautice's life will be honored and celebrated with a graveside service on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Pastor Danny Wade will officiate the service, offering words of comfort and reflection on a life well-lived.
Vautice Valeria Pearson Shores will be remembered for her boundless love, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Her legacy of kindness and warmth will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home, ensuring that Vautice's final farewell is conducted with the dignity and care she so richly deserves.
