Vidal Leal, a lifelong resident of Rome, Georgia, sadly passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Born in Matamoros, Mexico on March 7, 1969 to parents Jose Torres and Irene Leal, Vidal was known for his big heart and endearing spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved grandchildren, Harlee Toland and Angel Baby Leal. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Leal, his devoted son Emilio Vidal Leal, and his cherished daughters Stephanie Toland and Michelle Leal. Vidal was also the proud grandfather of Broly, Kellin, Arian, Arlow, Nolan, Grayson, Hank, Fenix, and Nova Lee Vida. His legacy lives on through his brothers Antonio, Hector, Humberto, Alfredo, and David, and his sisters Minerva and Gloria.
Vidal was a dynamic individual who was never afraid to speak his mind. A self-taught carpenter, he was able to turn his passion for woodworking into a thriving business, creating beautiful pieces from his heart.
A lover of all things Chevrolet, he had a special affection for vintage models, maintaining his cherished Chevy C 1500 with meticulous care. Vidal was renowned for his generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was the shirt off his back or space in his home.
An adoring grandfather, Vidal had a unique bond with his grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Known as the 'best dad ever,' he wasn't without his vices, his favorite being a cold can of Mountain Dew and the occasional cigarette.
Vidal's life will be honored in a service on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with the funeral service commencing immediately at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will provide eulogies, sharing memories and stories about Vidal's vibrant life.
