Virgil Allmon

Virgil Allmon, of Kingston, Georgia, passed away in June 2026 at the age of 61.

Born on June 27, 1964, Virgil was the son of the late Charles Buddy Allmon, Sr. and Betty Jean Grant Allmon. He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and had a passion for anything with a motor. Whether it was scooters, small engines, or mechanical projects, Virgil enjoyed fixing things and figuring out how they worked. He was especially fond of his pit bulls, which brought him great companionship and joy throughout the years.

Virgil will be remembered for his independent spirit, his love of mechanics, and the simple pleasures that made him happiest. Those who knew him will remember his interest in motorized vehicles, his dedication to repairing and maintaining them, and the affection he had for his beloved dogs.

He is survived by his brothers, James Allmon, Charles "Buddy" Allmon, Jr., David Allmon, and Andy Allmon; his sisters, Mary Jean Allmon and Glenda Faye Wells; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service celebrating Virgil's life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, with the Memorial Service beginning at 7:30 PM. Pastor Bill Towe will officiate.

Though his journey has ended, the memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
