Mr. Wallace Lee Nicholson, 74, of Lyerly, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born in Rome, Georgia, on July 25, 1949, to Griffin "Buck" Nicholson and Addie Pearson Nicholson.

Mr. Nicholson’s legacy of love and dedication is carried forward by most his beloved wife of over twenty-seven years, Judy Spinks Nicholson; his sons, Daren Nicholson with Michelle, David Nicholson with wife Amy, and Joe Nicholson with wife  Faith; his daughters, Kimberly Nicholson and Carrie Ann Martin; and his treasured grandchildren, McKenzie, Skylar, Mason, Daniel, Brice, Robert, Blake, and Kelsie will fondly remember their grandfather's wisdom and kindness.

Mr. Nicholson was not just a man; he was an emblem of a bygone era. An honest-to-goodness cowboy, his home resonated with the nostalgia of the Old Wild West. His impeccable manners mirrored those legendary cowboys, who considered it their sacred duty to honor and safeguard their kin and community. To those who knew him, Wallace was the epitome of a gentleman. A horse enthusiast, Wallace had a unique knack for training even the most challenging equines. His time of six honorable years in the United States Marine Corps shaped him, and he consistently embodied the Marines' esteemed motto, Semper Fidelis, in every facet of his life.
