Wesley Lee Ray, aged 56, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2024. Born on October 18, 1967, Wesley was the beloved son of Wesley Jerome Ray and Emma Josephine Bridges Ray.
Wesley is survived by his devoted daughter, Jessica Tran, and her husband, Andrew. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Barrett Tran and Jasiah Tran. Wesley is also survived by his cherished brother, Tommy Ray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Baldwin, whose memory he held dear.
A lifelong resident of Rome, Georgia, Wesley was a man of diverse passions. His love for music was profound and unwavering. He found joy and solace in its melodies, rhythms, and harmonies, appreciating how music conveys emotions and tells stories. Wesley’s enthusiasm for cars was equally intense; he admired the craftsmanship, speed, and freedom they represented. His knowledge of automobiles and his ability to tinker with them brought him great satisfaction.
Wesley was also an avid traveler, with a spirit of adventure that led him to explore new places and cultures. He valued the experiences and memories created through his journeys, believing that travel enriched his life and broadened his perspective.
Wesley Lee Ray will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love for music, cars, and travel will continue to inspire and resonate with those who knew and loved him.
