Marshall Marvin Bailey, Sr., age 79, of Rome passed away Wednesday February 9, 2022 at a local hospital. Marshall was born on January 18, 1943 in Rome GA., to the late Bethel Bailey and Ruth Fowler Bailey. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Marcile Greeson, and Audrey Bailey. Survivors include his wife MaryNell Bailey; son: Marshall (Beth) Bailey, Jr., daughters: Brandy Richardson, Melanie (Ken) Carroll, Christina (Mark) Watters, and Robin Brickey; grandchildren: Micah Bailey, Kimberly Bailey, Christian Richardson, Kasey Richardson, Samuel Richardson, Josh (Brooke) Carroll, Justin (Briana) Carroll, Katie Carroll, Kenzie Carroll, Donovan Watters, Dillon Ingram, Cody Ingram, Faith Brickey, Hope Brickey, and Angel Brickey; siblings: Harry Bailey, Melton Bailey, and Vel Dunn. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday February 14, 2022 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Barone officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
